Getting to Daintree Oceanview Retreat
Daintree rainforest holiday house accommodation.
Daintree Oceanview Retreat is approx 2hrs 15mins drive north of Cairns in Cow Bay overlooking the Coral Sea and beautiful Cow Bay Beach.
Head north out of Mossman towards Daintree Village/Cape Tribulation. Turn right at the Cape Tribulation turn off and enjoy the short cable ferry ride across the Daintree river.
Catching the Daintree River Ferry
The Daintree River Ferry takes you to the North side where you will follow a road through the lush Daintree rainforest to reach Daintree Oceanview Retreat.
The ferry costs $27 one way, $47 return. The ferry runs back and forth between 5am to 12pm daily. Ferry bookings are not required and tickets can be purchased onsite.
Welcome to the Daintree Rainforest
After disembarking the ferry, continue driving on Cape Tribulation road for approx 20 mins where you will reach Cow Bay. Enjoy the spectacular scenic drive along the way.
After passing the Cow Bay Hotel on the right you will see Floravilla Ice cream on the corner of Buchanan Creek Road.
Turn right onto Buchanan Creek Road and drive approx 5kms towards Cow Bay Beach. Turn right onto Silver Ash Road (which is only two roads back from the beach) and then in approx 300m turn Left onto Kauri Close.
Daintree Oceanview Retreat is 230m on the left at 23 Kauri Close Cow Bay.
